Several clues have surfaced online, seemingly confirming rumors about the development of a remake for Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag.

According to information published by Kotaku, the studio behind this new version of the pirate adventure is Ubisoft Singapore, the same team currently working on the upcoming online game Skull and Bones.

Internet users discovered mentions of an unannounced project within the Assassin’s Creed series in the profiles of developers at the aforementioned studio. The work on this project commenced in September 2023. While these details are no longer visible, screenshots have been preserved thanks to the PCGamesN portal.

It is likely that the project is in its early development stages, and after the release of Skull and Bones, more specialists will be shifted to work on the remake. Interestingly, it was in September that the sales of Black Flag on Steam were temporarily halted. Ubisoft had to provide comments on this situation.
