It has been over a year since the announcement of Death Stranding 2 at The Game Awards 2022. Since then, Kojima Productions has been silent about any new information regarding the sequel. However, it seems that the studio is finally breaking its silence, and within a week, the original game will be available on Apple devices.

According to insider billbil-kun, known for providing accurate information ahead of schedule, the unveiling of Death Stranding 2 is expected within the next 15 days. This might coincide with the first State of Play presentation in 2024. In early January, another insider, Jeff Grubb, hinted that a Sony show would take place in the coming weeks.

The only detail confirmed by the billbil-kun team is the final title of the game: Death Stranding 2 — On the Beach. It appears that the second installment’s storyline will indeed take place near water or even in the ocean. In 2022, Hideo Kojima shared images with maritime-themed logos. Additionally, for a long time, DS2 was referred to by the working title “Ocean.” The significance of the beach in the Death Stranding universe, serving as a limbo between the world of the living and the world of the dead, remains speculative.

DS2 is set to release on PlayStation 5, but the exact release date is unknown. There is no information about a PC port either.

The future of Death Stranding on Apple devices is much clearer. Publisher 505 Games has announced that starting January 30, the title will be available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as iPad and Mac computers equipped with the M1 chip or newer. Death Stranding supports the Universal Purchase system, meaning if the title is already purchased on iPhone, there is no need to repurchase it on Mac or iPad.
